Word spread quickly about Skidee scooters and soon John was able to quit his part-time job to focus on the business full-time. He rented a small warehouse, hired his first employee, and hasn’t looked back since.
Today, Skidee® Scooter has grown into one of the most popular electric scooter companies in the industry. We now offer three main scooter models – the entry-level Y100, the mid-range Y200, and the high-performance X3M. All of our scooters feature powerful brushless motors, lithium-ion batteries, and hydraulic shock absorbers for a responsive and comfortable ride. Our Design Process
Producing each Skidee scooter is an extensive process involving research and development, rigorous testing, and meticulous assembly.
It starts with our engineering team who determine technical goals for each new model such as speed, battery life, and weight. They conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends. The engineers then partner with our industrial design team to brainstorm and select the best ideas.
Prototype scooters are produced and undergo comprehensive stress tests including drop tests, waterproofing tests, and prolonged vibration assessments. We test in real-world conditions across parking lots, sidewalks, trails, and more.
Feedback from test drivers allows us to tweak and refine the designs even further. No detail is overlooked.
Finally, production begins in our eco-friendly factory which uses sustainable manufacturing processes like renewable energy, recycled materials, and non-toxic materials. Experienced technicians expertly assemble each scooter by hand with care and precision.

Lithium-Ion Batteries

Brushless Hub Motors
We use efficient brushless electric hub motors that provide strong acceleration along with minimal noise and vibration. Maintenance is easier as well since there are no brushes to replace.
Hydraulic Brakes

Shock Absorption
